Fullerton Cove - About Fullerton Cove

So many places to go, so many things to do

Greenleaf at Fullerton Cove is perfectly positioned to take advantage of countless attractions, activities and destinations on and around the Stockton Peninsula.

Just to the north is the boating Mecca of Port Stephens, a popular holiday destination they call the “Blue Water Paradise”. Port Stephens is a massive coastal inlet that’s actually bigger than Sydney Harbour. Its calm waters and numerous coves are ideal for fishing, boating, and every kind of water sport.

Perched at the narrow mouth of Port Stephens is the spectacular township of Nelson Bay, a gateway to the ocean and the broad surf beaches of the Stockton Peninsula.

Here, in season, you can experience the incomparable thrill of whale and dolphin watching – up close and personal.

Stockton Beach also boasts its own shipwreck, a stark reminder of bygone eras and the many misfortunes of sailors and pirates on this notorious coastline.

Travelling south soon brings you to the mouth of the mighty Hunter River and the entrance to the bustling, 200-year-old port of Newcastle, with its famous Nobby’s Head Lighthouse and, nearby, Nobby’s Beach with its unique ocean baths. Newcastle is an historic city in transition – from a dour coal mining port to a vibrant hub of culture and the arts. Relaxed and friendly, Newcastle retains its important connection to the maritime suburb of Stockton, via the Stockton Bridge and the popular Stockton Ferry, which shuttles back and forth daily between the peninsula and Newcastle’s CBD.  You can explore Newcastle on foot, by bicycle or by boat, there’s so much to discover and so much to enjoy. Of course, if shopping’s on your agenda, Newcastle can provide you with all the retail therapy you can handle.

Newcastle is also the stepping stone to historic townships like Morpeth with its magnificently preserved Victorian heritage - and New South Wales’ famous wine growing area – the Hunter Valley. Set among the magnificent rolling hills are some of Australia’s most prestigious wineries, all of them ready to welcome you with open arms and an open bottle of fine wine.

When it comes to enjoying life’s simple pleasures, it’s hard to imagine a more perfect home base than Greenleaf at Fullerton Cove.
